We were forced to go to the Jameson Tavern because we couldn't find anywhere to eat during a day trip to Freeport, ME! We didn't want to do fast food on our only day in Maine (since we can eat fast food anywhere), so we walked around until we stumbled upon Jameson Tavern. We were glad to find it. The place was very busy with lots of tourists. There was a bar in the dining room and the room itself was very small. The decor was that of a tavern and we were lucky enough to get a table for two. We had wanted to have seafood since we were in Maine, and we were glad that they had a few choices on their menu. Mom had the fish and chips while I had the baked scrod. Both were delicious. The price was about average for the type of food we got. We didn't have dessert, but we did visit the extraordinarily tiny bathroom. If you stood up, you would be touching both walls at the same time! After we paid our bill we rushed off to get our bus. Our day in Freeport was over.
